Roy Laird is a German pool player from Kaiserslautern . He was German individual champion seven times , six times in the senior category and once in the men's category .

Career

At the German championship in 1977 Laird won his only title in the men's age group. He became German champion in 14/1 endlessly and then played in the senior age group. There he won his first medal in 1985 ; Gold in 14/1 endless. The German championship in 1986 was the most successful of Laird's career. He won gold in 14/1 and 9 ball , as well as silver in 8 ball . In 1987 he became German champion in 14/1 for the third time in a row, in 1988 he was able to defend this title again successfully and was also German champion in 9-ball. At the German championship in 1989 he won silver in 14/1 and was fourth in 8-ball, in 1990 he was only fourth in 8-ball. In 1991 Laird won bronze in 9-ball and in 1996 with silver in 14/1, his last medal at a German championship.
