The Pool Championship 1991 was the European Pool Billiard Association EPBF in Mussolente in the region Veneto material discharged snooker tournament . It was the first European championship in pool billiards in Italy .

The European champions in the disciplines 8-ball , 9-ball and 14/1 endlessly as well as the European team champions for women and men were played.

In the men's 14/1 endless final, defending champion Oliver Ortmann was defeated by the Swede Jan Lundell . Ralf Souquet managed to defeat the Swede Tom Storm in 8-ball in a new edition of the final of the previous year and thus to become 8-ball European champion for the second time after 1989 . The German Thomas Engert won the 9-ball final against his compatriot Tony Deigner and thus became 9-ball European champion for the third time in a row. The German Waldemar Markert , the Swiss Rolf Hollenstein and the Austrian Raymond Gneist each won bronze once.

In the women’s category, Helena Thornfeldt from Sweden won the final against last year's finalist Andrea Kroll as European champion in 14/1. Sylvia Buschhüter became 8-ball European champion in the final against defending champion Ilona Bernhard . In 9-Ball the Swede Louise Furberg , who last won four times in a row 14/1 European Champion from 1987 to 1990, won the final against the 9-Ball European Champion of 1988 , 1989 and 1990. The Austrians Claudia Hechenbichler , Francoise Blochinger and Gerda Hofstätter , as well as the German Eva Urlass each also won a bronze medal.

The German team consisting of Thomas Engert, Oliver Ortmann, Ralf Souquet, Tony Deigner and Waldemar Markert became European men's champions in the final against Sweden. Austria and Switzerland won bronze. Sweden won the women's final against Switzerland. Germany and Austria came third.
