Tony Deigner (born February 8, 1957 in Schwetzingen ; † February 19, 2010 ) was a German pool player . In 1987 he became German champion in the 14/1 endless discipline and in 1991 vice European champion in 9-ball .

Career

At the German championship in 1984 Tony Deigner won a medal for the first time with bronze in 14/1 . Three years later he became German champion in 14/1 in the final against Norbert Lang and came third in 9-ball . In the same year he was also third in 9-ball at the European Championships . At the German championships in 1989 and 1990 , Deigner came third and second in 9-ball, respectively. At the EM in 1991 he reached the final in 9-ball, but lost there against Thomas Engert . 1992 Deigner in the German championship fourth in the 9-ball. At the European Championship in 1993 he reached third place in the 9-ball. In 1994 Deigner won his last medal at the German individual championships with bronze in the 8-ball .

With the PBC Oftersheim Deigner was three times German team champion . With the German national team he was three times European champion (1987, 1991, 1993).

Tony Deigner died on February 19, 2010 as a result of cancer .
