The Pool Championship 1987 was the European Pool Billiard Association EPBF in Stolberg in the Rhineland be transmitted snooker tournament . After 1980 it was the second pool billiards championship in Germany .

The disciplines 8-ball , 9-ball and 14/1 were played out endlessly for women and men. In addition, the men's European champions were determined.

In the final against his compatriot Thomas Engert , the German Oliver Ortmann was European champion in the men's 14/1 endless. The Swede Ulf Hjalmvall became 8-ball European champion, Tom Storm , in the final against the German Uwe Sander 9-ball European champion. The German team around Thomas Engert, Oliver Ortmann, Tony Deigner , Norbert Lang and Edgar Nickel became European champions. Sweden became vice European champions, Austria and Switzerland won bronze. The Swedes Louise Furberg and Helena Thornfeldt became European champions in 14/1 endless and 9-ball respectively. In the 8-ball the German Birgitt Hermann won the final against Christina Lilja . Franziska Stark was vice European champion in 14/1 endless.
