Uwe Sander is a German pool player .

Career

At the European Championships in 1985 Uwe Sander moved into the final in the 9-ball discipline and was defeated by the Swede Ulf Hjalmvall . At the German championship in 1986 he won the bronze medal in the 9-ball and 8-ball cup competitions. At the EM 1987 he was again vice European champion in 9-ball after a final defeat against Tom Storm . He also took part in several world championships in various disciplines.

Sander won the German 8-Ball Cup twice with the BBV Mannheim (1991, 1992) .

Uwe Sander was a member of the German national team for over ten years and became European champion with it in 1985 .

He has also been active in the billiard trade since 1986 and has assembled the billiard tables for numerous German and Austrian championships as well as for world and European championships in various billiards disciplines and for Euro Tour tournaments.

Sander held the Trainer A license and was assistant national trainer for several years. Since 1993 he has run together with David Alfieri the Pool School Germany , the first German billiards school. Sander and Alfieri were also the authors of several billiard training books.
