Ulf Hjalmvall (born September 29, 1955 ) is a Swedish pool player .
Career
At the EM 1982 , Ulf Hjalmvall became European champion for the first time by winning the final in 14/1 against his compatriot Jurgen Karlsson . In 1983 he was third in the same discipline. In 1984 he reached the final in 8-ball for the first time , but lost there to his compatriot Björn Jonsson . At the 1985 European Championship , Hjalmvall won the 9-ball competition, which was held for the first time, in the final against the German Uwe Sander . In 1987 he met Björn Jonsson again in the 8-ball final. This time, however, he won and became European champion for the third time. In 1988 Hjalmvall won his last European Championship medal in singles with bronze in 8-ball.
