The Paul Green GmbH is a manufacturer of women's shoes based in Mattsee in Salzburg , Austria .
history
In 1921 Josef Haselberger founded a master shoemaker's shop in Mattsee, Austria. In 1953 the first Elizabeth women's shoes were made here, named after Queen Elizabeth II of England. In 1980 Hermann Wittfeld took over the company and launched the Paul Green brand in 1988. The production sites are located at the company headquarters in Mattsee as well as in Croatia and Bosnia . A total of around 2000 people are employed (as of 2014).
Products
The company only manufactures women's shoes. The production takes place 100% in Europe. In 2013, according to an analysis by the magazine TextilWirtschaft, the company was one of the top 5 sellers of women's shoes in Germany.
International sales are only carried out through selected specialist retail partners. Paul Green shoes can be found in more than 2,000 stores and monostores worldwide.
