The Pool Championship 1983 was the European Pool Billiard Association EPBF in aan de Geul Valkenburg in the Netherlands aligned snooker competition .
The European champions in the disciplines 8-ball and 14/1 were played endlessly .
In the men's 14/1 Endless, Norwegian Bjørn L'Orange was the first non-Sweden to become European champion. 8-ball European champion was Sven Olaf Olsson . Bruno Ernst , Edgar Nickel and Günter Geisen won bronze. As in 1981 and 1982 , Klara Lensing was European 8-ball champion for women . The Swede Heide Andersson was European champion in 14/1 endless. Sylvia Buschhüter won the bronze medal.
