The Pool Championship 1992 was the European Pool Billiard Association EPBF in Velden in Austria and in the Slovenian capital Ljubljana material discharged snooker tournament . The men's and women's 8-ball and 14/1 endless disciplines were held in Ljubljana. The 9-ball competitions and the European team took place in Velden.
The Swede Niklas Bergendorff defeated the German Ralf Souquet in the 14/1 endless final and thus became European champion for the first time. Souquet, on the other hand, managed to defend his title from last year against the Norwegian Trond Larsen in 8-Ball . The Austrian Werner Duregger became 9-ball European champion by beating the Belgian Mario Lannoye in the final . The Germans Oliver Ortmann and Thomas Engert each won a bronze medal.
In the final against the German Ilona Bernhard , the Swede Helena Thornfeldt successfully defended her European Championship title in 14/1. Louise Furberg , who became European 9-ball champion in 1991, won the 8-ball final against Bernhard. Last year's finalist Franziska Stark was European champion in 9-ball against Norwegian Vibeke Havre . The Austrian Gerda Hofstätter won bronze three times, the Germans Andrea Kroll and Sylvia Buschhüter took third place each once.
The German men's team consisting of Thomas Engert, Oliver Ortmann, Ralf Souquet and Thomas Hasch became European champions in the final against Sweden and were thus able to successfully defend the 1991 title. Austria came third. The German women's team met defending champions Sweden in the final. The team made up of Franziska Stark, Ilona Bernhard, Andrea Kroll and Sylvia Buschhüter prevailed and became European champions for the first time. Switzerland and Austria won bronze.
