Niklas Bergendorff (born February 9, 1964 ) is a Swedish pool player . He is a two-time European champion .

Career

At the European Championships in 1992 , Bergendorff won endlessly by beating the German Ralf Souquet in 14/1 and thus became European champion. In 1994 he lost to Thomas Engert in the final . At the 9-ball World Cup in 1998 he was eliminated in the quarter-finals, in 2000 he finished 33rd. By reaching the semi-finals at the Finland Open , he also won his first Euro Tour medal in the same year . At the 2001 European Championships , Bergendorff won the 8-ball final against Nick van den Berg from the Netherlands and was thus European champion for the second time. At the 9-ball World Cup , he only came in 87th place, in 2002 he reached 33rd place. With a final victory against his compatriot Tom Storm , he achieved his first Euro Tour tournament victory in 2002 with the Netherlands Open .

In 2003 Bergendorff was eliminated in the round of 16 of the 14/1 competition of the European Championship . However, he won the Austria Open in the final against the German Thorsten Hohmann . At the 9-ball World Cup , he reached 17th place. At the World Pool Masters 2003 he was eliminated in the round of 16. At the 2004 European Championships , Bergendorff reached the quarter-finals in both 8-ball and 9-ball , but lost both games. At the 9-ball World Cup , he was eliminated in the round of 16.

At the World Continental Team Cup 2003 Bergendorff reached third place with the second European team.
