Norbert Lang was a German pool player . He was four times German champion and 1986 European champion in the discipline 14/1 endless .

Career

After Lang became German team champion in 14/1 in 1982 and 1984 with the PBF Pirmasens , he won a German individual championship for the first time in 1984 , also in 14/1 endless . It was also his first medal win. A year later he succeeded in becoming German champion in both 14/1 and 8-ball .

In 1986 he achieved the greatest success of his career: at the 1986 European Pool Billiards Championship in Oslo , he became European Champion. At the German championship in 1986 he only won one medal, bronze in 14/1. A year later he became German champion in 9-ball for the first time and won bronze in 14/1. This was also the last time that he was German individual champion. In 1988 he won the bronze medal in 14/1 and 9-ball. In 1989 Lang, who had meanwhile switched to PBC Karlsruhe , became German 8-ball team champion and won a medal for the last time at the German Individual Championship in 1989 with silver in 9-ball.
