Rendelstein (also called "Gschlössl") is a listed building in the Bolzano district of St. Anton in South Tyrol since 1953 .

The castle Rendel Stone emerged in the second half of the 13th century as a fortified tower house in the vicinity of the castle Runkelstein near the Talfer on the road from Sarn Valley to Bolzano. Mentioned Ersturkundlich it was in 1278 as "Rennilstein" in Urbar of pen Neustift near Brixen. The ministerials sitting on it are first documented in 1294 with Schwiker von "Renlistein" . In 1306 a Kunzlin from "Reinlistain" with castle and tower Rendelstein is enfeoffed by Neustift Abbey. For centuries, the castle - mostly with the neighboring Klebenstein mansion - was in different noble ownership, in the 14th century it belonged to the Vintler family , later the Hueppher and the Count Troyer. The building only got its current, rather inconspicuous look recently. After a fire, the tower was demolished in 1859 under its owner Franz Anton von Kofler, President of the Bozen Chamber of Commerce, and the entire building was brought under a single roof. An extension on the east side dates from the beginning of the 20th century. In addition to a square-framed arched gate, the Romanesque exposed brickwork and parts of the former courtyard point to the former Rendelstein Castle.

The Waldorf kindergarten is now located in the wing of the former Gschlössl inn.
