Auer Castle

The Burgauer (also Auer Castle ) have been prepared by the Lords of Auer in the Middle Ages at the entrance to Sprons built. Today it is in the area of Dorf Tirol in South Tyrol .

The castle was first documented in 1288. The north-south facing castle has three separate tower-like residential buildings and is almost completely surrounded by a circular wall. To the north and south, the buildings are part of the castle wall. The late Gothic chapel building, a Gothic room with a beamed ceiling and a hall with Renaissance paintings from around 1550 are remarkable .

The castle has been a listed building since 1950 .
