Sprons , also called Spronser Tal , is an orographically right side valley of Passeier in South Tyrol . It branches off in the lowest Passeier valley and leads in a north-westerly direction far into the Texel group, a subgroup of the Ötztal Alps . It is drained by the Spronser Bach , a tributary of the Passer . Apart from Talausgangsbereich it is uninhabited, but has several pastures and at 1700  m located Bockerhütte place. The ten Spronser lakes are distributed in the uppermost valley area . Sprons is surrounded by numerous peaks, among which the Tschigat ( 2998  m ), the Spronser Rötelspitze ( 2625  m ) and the Mutspitze ( 2291  m ) are the most famous. Administratively, Sprons, which is largely under protection in the Texel Group Nature Park , largely belongs to the municipality of Tyrol , only a small section of the valley exit area is part of Kuens .
