Schloss Winkel , also spelled Winkl , is a listed building in Obermais in Merano .

The original farm was sold by Quaranta zu Rametz to Eckhart von Rosenberg (valet of Max the German master ) in 1612 or 1613 . He had the residence expanded, but moved a little later to his Rosenstein Castle in Merano. In 1632 Claudia de 'Medici bought the estate. Count Zenobio followed as owners, and the von Spaur family owned the property from 1679 to 1813. In 1813 Urban Pitsch bought the castle with its numerous properties. Pitsch became a wealthy wine merchant, the estate was transferred to a foundation after the death of his son of the same name. In 1934 the Bolzano wine merchant Antonio Cembran became the owner, Winkel remained with his heirs until 2004.

Since the end of the 2010s, there have been repeated incidents of illegal occupation of the building by mostly foreigners. They caused pollution and tapped electricity and water. The security forces had to act several times.
