Jakub Koniar (born April 21, 1993 ) is a Slovakian pool player . In 2014 he became Vice European Champion .

Career

In 2011, Koniar won the bronze medal in 9-ball at the European Junior Championships and reached fifth place in 14/1 endless as well as 10-ball and with the team. The year before he had already taken part in the Men's European Championship, where he finished 65th in 8-ball and 9-ball. With the team he had reached 13th place. In 2012 he reached fifth place with the men's team, but did not get beyond 17th place in the 14/1 in the individual. In 2013 he took 17th place in 8-Ball and 14/1. At the Italian Open 2014 , he achieved 33rd place, his best result so far on the Euro Tour . After Koniar finished in 14/1 and 33rd in 10-ball at the 2014 European Championships , he became vice-European champion in 8-ball with a 7: 8 defeat in the final against Dutchman Nick van den Berg .

In 2010, Koniar took part with the Slovak team in the World Team Championship , where they finished 17th.

In the same year he also took part in the first Czech snooker main tour tournament - the Prague Classic 2010 . He lost his opening game against the multiple snooker world champion Steve Davis with 0: 4.
