Steve Leisen (born October 21, 1976 ) is a Luxembourgish pool player .

Career

In 1994 Steve Leisen won the bronze medal in the 14/1 endless of the juniors at the European Youth Championship. At the European Championships in 1999 he was third in the men's 14/1 endless. In March 2000 he finished 17th at the Italy Open .

At the EM 2008 Leisen reached the round of 16 in 8-Ball , but lost to Markus Juva from Finland . After not getting past 49th place in 2009 and 2010 , he finished 33rd in 8-Ball in 2011 . At the EM 2012 he reached the sixteenth finals in 10-ball and 8-ball and was eliminated there against Manuel Ederer and Francisco Sánchez . At the 2015 European Championships , he made it into the final round for the first time since 2012, reaching the round of 32 in the 8-ball.

With the PBC Trier , Leisen rose to the 1st Bundesliga in the 2009/10 season . After two years, he was relegated to the 2nd Bundesliga with eighth place in the 2011/12 season . He then played two seasons with the PBC Trier in the second division before the latter withdrew his team from the game.

He has been playing for the Saarland club BV Brotdorf since 2015 and was able to celebrate the march from the Oberliga to the 2nd Bundesliga with the club after two championships in a row .

With the Luxembourg national team, he finished third at the 1997 European Championship .
