Jürgen Jenisy (born March 5, 1991 ) is an Austrian pool player . In 2014 he became Vice European Champion .

Career

In 2008 Jenisy reached the knockout phase for the first time on the Euro Tour . In the sixteenth finals of the Austrian Open he lost to the German Ralf Mund . In the same year he was European champion with the team at the European Youth Championship and was eliminated in 8-ball and 14/1 endlessly in the quarter-finals. In 2009 he reached the round of 16 at the Italy Open , but lost it to the Englishman Craig Osborne . A few weeks later he reached the 8-ball quarter-finals at the men's EM , in which he was defeated 7: 8 by the later European champion Andreas Roschkowsky . In the 9-ball , he finished 17th. At the European Youth Championship he was runner-up in the 8-ball European championship by losing to the Russian Roman Prutschai in the final . With the team, he finished third. At the Portugal Open 2009 he came in 25th place, at the Finland Open 2010 in 33rd place.

Jenisy's best results at the EM 2011 were 17th place in 14/1 endless and 33rd place in 10-ball . On the Euro Tour he reached the second round at the German Open 2011 for the second time, in which he was defeated by the German Kevin Becker . In 2011 he also reached 33rd place in Euro Tour tournaments three times. At the 2014 European Championship , Jenisy lost in the 8-ball quarter-finals against the eventual European champion Nick van den Berg , previously he was eliminated in the 10-ball in the second round. In 9-Ball he became vice-European champion with a 4: 9 defeat against the Dutchman Niels Feijen . At the 9-ball world championship , Jenisy was eliminated without a win in the preliminary round.

Jenisy took part in the Team World Cup twice with the Austrian team. After they were eliminated with just one win in the preliminary round in 2010 , they lost in the second round in 2014 to defending champions Chinese Taipei.
