Craig Osborne (born September 5, 1979 ) is an English pool player .

Career

In 2005 Osborne was eliminated in the preliminary round of the 9-ball world championship and finished in 81st place. In 2006 he reached the second round twice on the Euro Tour . After losing this at the Austria Open against the eventual tournament winner, the Swede Marcus Chamat with 6:10, he lost to the German Thomas Engert at the Netherlands Open . At the Italy Open 2007 he lost the round of 32 against the Dutchman Nick van den Berg . In the same year he was eliminated from the 9-Ball World Cup with just one win in the preliminary round.

In 2008 Osborne reached the sixteenth finals of a Euro Tour tournament three times. After losing it at both the Austrian Open and the Swiss Open to Radosław Babica and Dimitri Jungo , he defeated the German Nicolas Ottermann 9-1 at the Costa del Sol Open , but was defeated by the Spaniard Francisco Díaz- in the subsequent round of 16 . Pizarro . In the Great Britain 9-Ball Tour in 2008, Osborne took third place three times.

In 2009 he moved into a Euro Tour semi-finals for the first time at the Italy Open . However, he lost this against the eventual winner of the tournament, David Alcaide , 2: 9. At the German Open , he was eliminated in the quarter-finals against Michał Czarnecki from Poland . At the China Open he finished 33rd in 2009, as well as at the 10-Ball World Cup , where he was defeated by compatriot Darren Appleton 3: 9 in the round of 64 .

At the French Open 2010 , Osborne reached his only Euro Tour final to date, but lost it 2: 9 to Niels Feijen from the Netherlands . At the Italy Open he was defeated by the French Stephan Cohen in the round of sixteen , at the German Open he lost the round of 16 against the Italian Fabio Petroni . At the 9-ball World Cup , he was also eliminated in the round of 16 in 2010. At the Austria Open he lost in the round of 32 against Konrad Piekarski from Poland .

In 2010, Osborne finished fifth on the Great Britain 9-Ball Tour five times. In 2011 he lost the final twice and came third once. In 2012 he finished second and fifth. At the US Open in 2012, he came in 65th place. After Osborne lost the final of a GB 9-Ball Tour tournament again in 2013 and finished fifth three times, he succeeded in 2014 for the first time in a GB 9-Ball Tour tournament with a final win over Karl Boyes in the Midlands Classic Pro Cup to win. He also reached third place once.

In 2010 Osborne took part in the Team World Cup with the second British team . After a 3: 3 against Greece they only missed a place in the round of 16 in the shout-out.
