Kevin Becker (born December 15, 1986 ) is a German pool and snooker player .

Career

singles

Kevin Becker started playing billiards in 2000 . In 2002 he was second in the European Youth Championship in 14/1 endlessly the student, in 2003 he was third. In 2004 Becker became Vice European Junior Champion in 14/1 endless and in 8-Ball . In the final he lost to Nicolas Ottermann . In the same year he was ninth in the 14/1 endless at the German championship of men and seventh at the Rotterdam Open. At the IPT World Open, Becker took 121st place in 2006. In 2007 Becker took part in a world championship for the first time. At the 8-ball World Cup he reached the round of 32, in which he was defeated by the Taiwanese Hsia Hui-kai .

At the Longoni Benelux Open 2009 Becker came third. At the German championship he achieved his best result so far with the quarter-final in 14/1 against the eventual German champion John Blacklaw . In 2010 Becker won medals for the first time at the German championship with silver in 14/1 endless and bronze in 8-ball. In the 14/1 final he lost 0: 150 against Manuel Ederer . At the EM 2011 Becker reached the round of 16 in 10-Ball . He came in 33rd place in 9-ball and 65th in 8-ball. At the German Open 2011 he reached the finals of a Euro Tour tournament for the first time . In the quarter-finals he was eliminated from the eventual winner Dimitri Jungo . At the 10-ball national championship in 2011 , Becker lost 8: 9 in the quarter-finals against eventual national champion Daniel Müller .

In January 2012 Becker finished ninth at the Paris Open and fifth in 8-ball and 9-ball at the 2012 German championship . In 2013 he won the bronze medal in 9-ball after losing in the semi-finals to the eventual German champion Marco Spitzky . In August 2014 Becker finished fifth at the Benelux Open. In November he was third in 9-ball at the German championship . He won his first Euro Tour medal at the Treviso Open in December. In the semifinals he was eliminated from the eventual winner of the tournament Nick van den Berg . In June 2015 he reached the quarter-finals of the German Open and was defeated there by Florian Hammer 7: 9. At the German championship in 2015 he won the bronze medal in the 14/1 endlessly after losing to Raphael Wahl in the semifinals .

In April 2016, Becker took part in the European Championship for the second time . He was nominated by the DBU for the disciplines 8-ball and 9-ball. After he was eliminated in the 8-ball competition in the round of 32 against Ivo Aarts , he reached the round of 16 in the 9-ball and was defeated there by the Russian Ruslan Tschinachow . At the German championship he won the bronze medal in the 14/1 endless and 8-ball disciplines. In the 10-ball competition he made it to the final and lost 4-8 to Raphael Wahl.

In 2010, Kevin Becker rose to the 2nd Bundesliga with BSV Wuppertal and took first place in the individual ranking of the Regionalliga Süd-West. In the 2011/12 season Becker rose to the 2nd Bundesliga with BC Colors Düsseldorf . In 2012 he won the 8-ball team trophy with Düsseldorf . After two years in the second division, the team was relegated to the regional league in 2014. Becker then moved to PBV Young Guns Krefeld , where he played in the regional league in the 2014/15 season, including with former world champion Huidji See . After both the team had and Becker took first place in the individual competition, he moved to the season 2015/16 for Bundesliga side 1. PBC Neuwerk , with whom he descended end of the season in the second division.

With the German national team, Becker became European champion in 2016 .

In the 2014/15 season Becker played with 1. SC Dortmund in the 1. Snooker Bundesliga . He then moved to the Bundesliga promoted Schwarz-Blau Horst-Emscher .
