The BC Schwarz-Blau Horst-Emscher 1957 e. V. ( SB Horst for short ) is a billiards club from Gelsenkirchen . It was created in 2003 through the merger of the billiard clubs BC Fidele Freunde and BC Schwarz-Blau Horst-Emscher .

BC Fidele friends

The BC Fidele Friends was founded on July 31, 1958 in Gladbeck - Brauck . In 1961 he changed the gambling establishment and from then on played in the nearby restaurant Rattay . In 1977 he hosted the Women's Westphalia Championship. According to the association, this was the first national women's billiards competition. In 1982 BC Fidele moved to the Homey restaurant in Gelsenkirchen-Horst . From 1998 he had a pool department, which was formed from former members of the dissolved PBC Schaffrath .

BC Schwarz-Blau Horst-Emscher

BC Schwarz-Blau Horst-Emscher was founded in 1957. In October 2003 he merged with BC Fidele Freunde to form BC Schwarz-Blau Horst-Emscher 1957. Since the restaurant used by BC Fidele as a game room closed in April 2003, the newly founded club initially had no club room. In the 2003/04 season, which used collision department of the BC Black-Blue Horst-Emscher the clubhouse of the BC Green Table Buer , the Pool Department played in BG Bottrop . At the beginning of 2004, a former bakery in Gelsenkirchen-Hassel was converted into a clubhouse. A snooker department was founded in 2009 . Since there are no snooker tables available in the clubhouse, she uses the clubhouse of the BC Grüner Tisch Buer.

In snooker, BC Schwarz-Blau Horst-Emscher finished fifth in the Oberliga in 2010 and 2011. In the following three seasons he reached first place and lost a total of only three league games. After failing in the promotion round in 2012 and 2013, they were able to prevail in 2014 and were promoted to the 2nd Bundesliga . In the 2014/15 season they managed to march through to the 1st Bundesliga as first place three points ahead of 1. Münchner SC . In the following season , Schwarz-Blau Horst-Emscher took sixth place in the Bundesliga. Then the club secured relegation by winning against BV Villingen-Schwenningen and the Cologne Snooker Club .

The pool team of BC Schwarz-Blau Horst-Emscher came fourth in the association league in 2011. After taking third place in 2013 and 2014, she made it to the top division in the 2014/15 season as runner-up behind TV Borghorst . In the following season she was fifth there.
