The BV Villingen-Schwenningen (officially: Billardverein Villingen-Schwenningen eV ) is a billiard club from Villingen-Schwenningen . The first snooker team of the club, founded in 1994, will play in the 1st Bundesliga from 2016 .
history
BV Villingen-Schwenningen was founded in 1994. In the 2004/05 season, the first snooker team in the third-class Baden-Württemberg league reached second place. In 2008 they became champions of the Baden-Württemberg League and in 2009 they were runner-up. In 2011 and 2012, in the third division, which has now been renamed the upper league, as sixth-placed, they barely escaped relegation. In the 2013/14 and 2014/15 seasons they reached first place. After not being able to prevail in the promotion round in 2014, they were promoted to the 2nd Bundesliga in 2015 . In the second division, the club reached second place in the 2015/16 season , ten points behind the first-placed 1. SC Mayen-Koblenz and four points ahead of PSC Kaufbeuren . In the relegation, with a win against the Cologne Snooker Club and a defeat against Schwarz-Blau Horst in second place, they initially missed promotion to the 1st Bundesliga . Since SAX-MAX Dresden withdrew its team from the first division, BV Villingen-Schwenningen rose as a successor.
The pool team played in the 2004/05 season in the major leagues. After being relegated to the regional league in the following years, promotion to the regional league followed in the 2012/13 season. In the 2014/15 season, BV Villingen-Schwenningen did not take part in team games in pool. The pool team has been playing in the district league since 2015.
