The 1. SC Mayen-Koblenz (officially: 1. Snooker-Club Mayen-Koblenz ) is a snooker club from Vallendar in the district of Mayen-Koblenz . The first team of the club, founded in 2011, will play in the 1st Bundesliga from 2016 .

history

The 1. SC Mayen-Koblenz was founded in 2011 and joined the German Billiard Union in 2012 . In the 2012/13 season he started with two teams in the fourth-class association league, one year later another team was added, and two more in 2015.

The first team reached third place in the association league in the 2012/13 season. Since the association league was then dissolved, one rose to the now double-track league, in which one won all six league games in the following season and thus achieved first place. The team then defeated BSV Südliche Weinstrasse and PSC Rhein Nahe Bingen in the play-offs and qualified for the promotion round to the 2nd Bundesliga , in which they also prevailed. In the 2015/16 season they finished fifth with just four points ahead of the relegation places. In the following season they achieved first place with twelve wins from 14 league games - only the away games at PSC Kaufbeuren and 1. Münchner SC were lost - and thus achieved promotion to the 1st Bundesliga .

The second team of 1. SC Mayen-Koblenz reached first place in the league in the 2015/16 season with only one defeat. In the promotion round to the 2nd Bundesliga, however, she could not prevail against USC Ingolstadt and BV Pforzheim .

The third team has been playing in the major league since 2013 and finished second there in 2016.
