The PSC Kaufbeuren (officially: Pool and Snooker Club Kaufbeuren Instrokes eV ) is a billiards club from Kaufbeuren . The first snooker team of the club, founded in 1993, played continuously in the 1st Bundesliga from 1998 to 2010 and was German champion three times (2001, 2002 and 2005).

history

PSC Kaufbeuren was founded in 1993. In the 1998/99 season , the first season of the 1st Snooker Bundesliga , he was runner-up. In 2001 he became German champion with nine wins from nine league games. A year later he was the first club to successfully defend the title. After finishing second in 2003 with four points behind the Barmer Billardfreunde , they won the German championship title for the third time in the 2004/05 season, tied with Barmen because of three more games they won. In the following season the PSC Kaufbeuren was two points behind the BSV Berlin runner-up. After third places in the 2006/07 and 2007/08 seasons, he was relegated to the 2nd Bundesliga in 2010 with sixth place . Since PSV Duisburg's relegation in 2002, PSC was the last remaining club to have played in the 1st Bundesliga since its introduction. In the 2010/11 season they became champions of the second division. Subsequently, however, the club announced its Bundesliga team and from then on played in the Association League, in which he won all twelve league games in the 2012/13 season and thus rose to the Bayern League. After finishing second there in the 2013/14 and 2014/15 seasons, he was able to prevail in the promotion round in June 2015 and thus managed to return to the second division after four years, in which he was third in 2016 . A few days before the start of the 2016/17 season , PSC Kaufbeuren canceled its team from play.
