The 1. Snooker Club Dortmund 1992 eV (short: 1. SC Dortmund ) is a 1992 founded snooker club from Dortmund . He played in the 1st Bundesliga from 2011 to 2015 .

history

1. SC Dortmund was founded in October 1992. It was one of the first snooker clubs in Germany. In the first few years the association already had over 30 members. In 2008 the club moved to its current clubhouse, which was significantly larger than the previous one. A year later, he was promoted to the 2nd Bundesliga . After finishing third there in 2010, they reached second place in the 2010/11 season and then made it to the first in the promotion round to the 1st Bundesliga after a 4-4 draw against BSC Kissing due to a more frame won League. There 1. SC Dortmund came fourth in the 2011/12 season and third in 2013. In the following season he managed to stay in sixth place, with one point ahead of relegated SC Hamburg . After the 2014/15 season, in which Dortmund finished fifth, the first team was withdrawn from the Bundesliga for financial reasons and because of doubts about the game system. For the 2015/16 season, she took over the starting position of the second team that had previously played in the major league. After finishing fourth in the Oberliga in 2016, the club moved its team back to the Association League.
