history

The Cologne Snooker Club was founded in 2004. In the 2004/05 season he was promoted to the 2nd Bundesliga as Middle Rhine Champion . At the German team cup he reached the semi-finals in 2005. In its first second division season , the club just missed promotion as third place with two points behind the relegation place. In the 2006/07 season , however, he reached first place and thus made it to the 1st Bundesliga . In 2006 the club won the German team cup in the final against PBC Völklingen , and in 2007 it lost in the final against the Barmer Billardfreunde . In the 1st Bundesliga 2007/08 , the Cologne Snooker Club rose to eighth place in the second division. The Cologne team lost 13 of the 14 league games this season, only on matchday 12 they were able to prevail against SC Memmingen 5: 4 . In the following two seasons, the club finished third and fourth in the 2nd Bundesliga. In 2008, 2009 and 2010 he reached the semi-finals of the German cup competition.

In the 2010/11 season , the club reached second place in the second division. In the relegation to the 1st Bundesliga, Cologne initially missed promotion as runner-up. As the PSC Kaufbeuren withdrew its Bundesliga team for the following season, the Cologne Snooker Club rose as a successor to the first division. In the 2011/12 season the team, now strengthened by Lasse Münstermann , finished seventh with nine points and was relegated. The only victory in this season was achieved by the Cologne team on matchday ten, when they defeated 1. DSC Hannover 6-2. In the following season , the club managed in the second division in sixth place, level on points with the relegated BSC Harlingerode, only just about relegation. In the two following seasons they finished fourth and third respectively, before finishing second with four points behind Snooker Ilmenau in the 2015/16 season and thus qualified again for the relegation . In the promotion round, however, the Cologne Snooker Club had to admit defeat to BC Schwarz-Blau Horst-Emscher and BV Villingen-Schwenningen and thus remained in the second division.

In 2005, Itaro Santos became the first player of the Cologne Snooker Club to become German champions in singles.
