Raphael Wahl (born October 1, 1997 in Fulda ) is a German pool player .

Career

Raphael Wahl started playing billiards at the age of six . After he first time in April 2012, German U-17 champion in 9-Ball had become, he succeeded in August in his first participation in a European Youth Championships with a final victory against his compatriot Joshua Filler of the students in the European Champion 14.1 endlessly to become. He was also third in 9-ball and second with the German team. At the Junior World Championship in December 2012, he reached 17th place. In 2013 he was vice European champion of the pupils in 9-ball in the final against the Dutchman Jan van Lierop . In October of the same year he won a medal for the first time at the German men's championship . In the 8-ball he reached the final, but lost it with 0: 8 against Sebastian Staab .

In April 2014 Wahl became German U-19 Junior Champion for the first time in 8-Ball. In August he became European Junior Champion in 8-Ball and 9-Ball and also won the European Championship with the German team. In November 2014 Wahl took part in the Junior World Championship for the second time and won the bronze medal. In April 2015 he became German 14/1 endless champion of the U-19 juniors in the final against Filler. At the Junior European Championship 2015 , however, he did not get past the quarter-finals. In November 2015 Wahl first lost the final in the 14/1 endlessly against Joshua Filler at the German men's championship , before he became German 9-ball champion with a 9: 5 win in the final against Geronimo Weißenberger . At the final tournament of the German Tour 2015 he was eliminated in the round of 64.

At the 8-ball competition of the German championship in 2016 , Wahl moved into the final after beating defending champion Joshua Filler in the semi-finals, where he defeated André Lackner 8: 6. After he was eliminated as defending champion in the semifinals against Lackner in the 9-ball, he won his overall third championship title in the 10-ball with an 8: 4 final victory over Kevin Becker .

With SG Johannesberg Wahl rose to the regional league in 2014 and became runner-up there the following season. In 2015 he moved to the second division club 1. PBC Karben , with whom he was promoted to the 1. Bundesliga in the 2015/16 season .
