The BC Colors Dusseldorf (full name: Billard Club Colors Dusseldorf ) is a billiard club in Dusseldorf . The club, founded in 1994, won the German 8-Ball Cup in 2012 .

history

BC Colors Düsseldorf was founded on February 27, 1994 as BC Colors Benrath. From September 1994 he took part in the game operations of the Lower Rhine Billiards Association. For the 1998/99 season they made it to the 2nd Snooker Bundesliga , from which they were relegated as eighth with just one point. As a result, the club canceled its snooker team for financial reasons and henceforth concentrated on playing pool games.

In 2001, the pool team of BC Colors rose to the third-class league. After a temporary relegation to the association league, they managed to get promoted again as first place in the 2004/05 season. In the following season the now strengthened by Emrah Güvenc club achieved its greatest success so far with third place in the league. In the summer of 2009 they took part as a league champion in the promotion round to the 2nd Bundesliga pool , but could not prevail there and played in the regional league the following season. In October 2009 they reached the semi-finals of the German 8-Ball Cup for the first time , but lost to Joker Geldern 4-6.

In the 2011/12 season, BC Colors rose to second place in the Regionalliga with a 4-0 relegation win against PBC Aalen in the 2nd Bundesliga. In November 2012, the club won the German 8-Ball Cup with a 5-1 win in the final against BSC Freiburg-Kaiserstuhl as part of the German billiards championship in Bad Wildungen . At the end of the 2012/13 season they finished fourth in the second division. At the German 8-Ball-Pokal 2013 they were eliminated in the semi-finals against PBC Schwerte . In the 2013/14 season , the club was relegated seventh in the 2nd Bundesliga to the regional league. In the two following seasons, the BC Colors Düsseldorf took last place and was relegated to the association league.

Several members of the BC Color were successful at German individual championships . Michaela Schorn became German champion of the ladies in the 9-ball in 2010 . A year later , Wienke Thamsen managed to win the title in this discipline. In addition, Christian Weigoni was third in the men's competition in 2008 in 9-ball and in 2010 in 14/1 . Kevin Becker finished third in 9-ball in 2013 . The then Turkish 9-ball champion Emrah Güvenc took part in the European Championship in 2006 as the first member of BC Colors and reached the eighth finals in 8-ball.
