Florian Hammer (born June 17, 1982 ) is a German pool player .

Career

After Florian Hammer finished fifth in the Junior World Championship , he reached 17th place in November 2002 at the Tokyo 9-Ball International of the IBC Tour. At the German Championships in 2002 and 2003 he took fifth place in 8-ball and 9-ball . In October 2003, Hammer reached the semi-finals of the German Open , winning a medal on the Euro Tour for the first time . In 2006 he won the first Stuttgart Open by beating the Greek Evangelos Vettas in the final . In June 2015, Hammer reached the semifinals of the German Open and lost to the eventual winner of the tournament, Petri Makkonen .

Hammer currently plays for the Bundesliga club BSV Fürstenfeldbruck , with whom he became German runner-up in 2011 , 2012 and 2013 .
