Pietro Caperna (born May 11, 1978 ) is an Italian pool and snooker player .

Career

In August 2008 Pietro Caperna reached the round of 32 in the 8-ball at the European pool billiards championship and was eliminated there against Markus Juva from Finland . In 9-Ball and 14/1 Endless he came in 65th place. At the EM 2009 Caperna was eliminated in the 9-ball sixteenth-finals against the Pole Karol Skowerski and finished 33rd in the 14/1 endless. In February 2014 he made it into the finals of a Euro Tour tournament for the first time at the Italian Open . In the second round, however, he was defeated by the Greek Nikos Ekonomopoulos . At the 2015 European Championship , six years after his last European Championship participation, he reached the round of 32 in 14/1 endlessly. A year later he made it to the last sixteen in the 9-ball competition, in which he lost 9-1 to the eventual European champion Francisco Sánchez .

In 2010 Caperna was part of the Italian team that was eliminated in the preliminary round of the Team World Cup .

In September 2015 Caperna was a 6: 4 final win against Gianmarco Tonini Italian champion in snooker . In February 2016 he took part in the European Snooker Championship for the first time , where he was eliminated from the preliminary round with just one win out of five games.
