Ouzouer-sur-Loire is a French commune with 2,738 inhabitants (as of January 1 2017) in the department of Loiret in the region Center-Val de Loire . The municipality belongs to the Arrondissement Orléans and was the chief town ( chef-lieu ) of the canton of Ouzouer-sur-Loire until its dissolution in 2015 and has since been part of the canton of Sully-sur-Loire . The inhabitants are called oratorios .

Ouzouer-sur-Loire is located about 35 kilometers east-southeast of Orléans on the Loire . To the north is the Orléans Forest. Ouzouer-sur-Loire is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Les Bordes in the north and north-west, Montereau in the north and north-east, Dampierre-en-Burly in the east and south-east, Lion-en-Sullias in the south, and Saint-Aignan-le-Jaillard in the south-west , Sully-sur-Loire in the west and south-west, Saint-Père-sur-Loire in the west and Bonnée in the west and north-west.
The former route nationale 152 (today's D952) runs through the municipality .
