Meung-sur-Loire [ ˌmœsyʁ.lwaːʁ ] is a French municipality with 6440 inhabitants (at January 1, 2017) in the department of Loiret in the region Center-Val de Loire . It belongs to the Arrondissement Orléans and the Canton of Meung-sur-Loire . The city is located on the north bank of the Loire , about 20 kilometers west of Orléans .
