Tavers is a municipality in France with 1,346 inhabitants (as of January 1 2017) in the Loiret in the region Center-Val de Loire . Tavers belongs to the Arrondissement Orléans and the Canton of Beaugency . The inhabitants are called Taversois .

Tavers is located on the northern side of the Loire , about 26 kilometers southwest of Orléans . The municipality is located in the Val de Loire UNESCO World Heritage Site . Tavers is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Villorceau in the north, Beaugency in the east, Saint-Laurent-des-Eaux in the south, Avaray in the south-west, Lestiou in the west and south-west, Séris in the west and Josnes in the west and north-west.
The A10 autoroute runs through the municipality .
