Dry is a French commune with 1,391 inhabitants (as of January 1 2017) in the department of Loiret in the region Center-Val de Loire . It belongs to the Arrondissement Orléans and the Canton of Beaugency (until 2015: Canton of Cléry-Saint-André ). The inhabitants are called Dryssois .

geography

Dry is about 18 kilometers southwest of Orléans on the Loire . Dry is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Meung-sur-Loire in the north, Cléry-Saint-André in the east and northeast, Jouy-le-Potier in the southeast, Lailly-en-Val in the south and southwest and Baule in the west.
