Tigy is a French commune with a population of 2,315 (as at 1st January 2017) in the department of Loiret in the region Center-Val de Loire . It belongs to the Arrondissement Orléans and is part of the canton of Saint-Jean-le-Blanc (until 2015: Canton Jargeau ). The inhabitants call themselves Tigycien (ne) s .
geography
Tigy is located in the Sologne countryside about 24 kilometers southeast of Orléans on the Bergeresse River . The Dhuy River runs through the south of the municipality . Tigy is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Ouvrouer-les-Champs in the north, Sigloy in the northeast, Neuvy-en-Sullias in the east, Vannes-sur-Cosson in the south and Vienne-en-Val in the north-west.
