The Dhuy (sometimes also called Bergeresse or Leu ) is a river in France that runs in the Loiret department in the Center-Val de Loire region . It rises under the name Leu in the municipality of Sully-sur-Loire and initially drains in a north-westerly and northerly direction. At the town of Bouteille , in the municipality of Guilly , the river approaches the Loire up to about 100 meters , but then swings west to northwest and crosses the northern Sologne . In the middle section the river changes its name to Bergeresse , in the lower reaches then again to Dhuy , reaches the southern suburbs of Orléans and finally flows after 34 kilometers in the municipality of Olivet as a right tributary into the Loiret, which is only one kilometer long .
