Villamblain is a French municipality with 285 inhabitants (as of January 1 2017) in the department of Loiret in the region Center-Val de Loire . It belongs to the Arrondissement Orléans and the canton Meung-sur-Loire (until 2015: canton Patay ). The inhabitants are called Villamblainais .
geography
Villamblain is the westernmost municipality in the Loiret department. It is located about 28 kilometers west-northwest of Orléans . Villamblain is surrounded by the neighboring communities
- Péronville in the north and northeast,
- La Chapelle-Onzerain in the east and northeast,
- Tournoisis in the east,
- Épieds-en-Beauce in the south and south-east,
- Beauce la Romaine with Prénouvellon in the south and south-west,
- Villemaury with Ozoir-le-Breuil to the west as well
- Villampuy in the northwest.
The former route nationale 155 (today's D955) runs through the municipality .
