Chaingy is a commune with 3663 inhabitants (as of January 1 2017) in the Loiret in the region Center-Val de Loire ; it belongs to the Arrondissement Orléans and the canton Meung-sur-Loire . The inhabitants are called Cambiens .
geography
Chaingy is about 10 kilometers west of Orléans on the Loire . Chaingy is surrounded by the neighboring municipalities of Bucy-Saint-Liphard in the north, La Chapelle-Saint-Mesmin in the east, Saint-Pryvé-Saint-Mesmin in the southeast, Mareau-aux-Prés in the south, Saint-Ay in the southwest and Huisseau-sur -Mauves to the west.
Chaingy train station is on the Paris – Bordeaux line . The A 10 car route leads through the municipality
