Baccon is a French municipality with 690 inhabitants (as of January 1 2017) in the department of Loiret in the region Center-Val de Loire ; it belongs to the Arrondissement Orléans and the canton Beaugency (until 2015: canton Meung-sur-Loire ). The inhabitants are called Bacconais .

geography

Baccon is located about twenty kilometers west of Orléans on the Mauves (also: Mauve de la Détourbe ). Baccon is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Charsonville in the north and north-west, Coulmiers in the north-east, Huisseau-sur-Mauves in the east, Meung-sur-Loire in the south-east, Le Bardon in the south, Cravant in the south and south-west, Villermain in the west and south-west and Beauce la Romaine with Ouzouer-le-Marché to the west.
