Jouy-le-Potier is a French commune with 1,350 inhabitants (as of January 1 2017) in the department of Loiret in the region Center-Val de Loire . It belongs to the Arrondissement Orléans and the Canton of Beaugency (until 2015: Canton of Cléry-Saint-André ). The inhabitants are called Joviciens .

Jouy-le-Potier is located about 18 kilometers south-southwest of Orléans in the Sologne . Jouy-le-Potier is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Cléry-Saint-André in the north, Mézières-lez-Cléry in the north and northeast, Ardon in the east and northeast, La Ferté-Saint-Aubin in the southeast, Ligny-le-Ribault in the south , Lailly-en-Val to the west and Dry to the northwest.
