Saint-Jean-de-Braye is a French municipality with 20,751 inhabitants (at January 1, 2017) in the department of Loiret in the region Center-Val de Loire . The municipality belongs to the Arrondissement Orléans and is the main town ( chef-lieu ) of the canton of Saint-Jean-de-Braye .
geography
Saint-Jean-de-Braye is east of Orléans on the banks of the Loire . The municipality is part of the Loire Valley , a UNESCO World Heritage Site since 2000. Saint-Jean-de-Braye is surrounded by the municipalities of Semoy in the north, Marigny-les-Usages and Boigny-sur-Bionne in the northeast, Chécy and Combleux in the east, Saint-Denis-en-Val in the south, Saint-Jean- le-Blanc in the southwest and Orléans in the west.
