Trinay is a French municipality with 225 inhabitants (as of January 1 2017) in the department of Loiret in the region Center-Val de Loire . It belongs to the Arrondissement Orléans and the canton Meung-sur-Loire (until 2015: canton Artenay ).

Geography and traffic

Trinay is located about 20 kilometers north-northeast of Orléans . Trinay is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Ruan in the north and northwest, Aschères-le-Marché in the northeast, Villereau in the east, Saint-Lyé-la-Forêt in the south, Bucy-le-Roi in the southwest and Artenay in the west.
