Sully-la-Chapelle is a commune with 431 inhabitants (as of January 1 2017) in the Loiret in the region Center-Val de Loire . It belongs to the Arrondissement Orléans , is part of the canton of Châteauneuf-sur-Loire (until 2015: canton of Neuville-aux-Bois ) and of the communal association of Les Loges . The inhabitants are called Sullygeois .
geography
Sully-la-Chapelle is located about 23 kilometers east-northeast of Orléans on the river Cens . The Forêt d'Orléans , an approximately 150,000 hectare forest area, spreads around the town . Sully-la-Chapelle is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Chilleurs-aux-Bois in the north, Ingrannes in the east, Vitry-aux-Loges in the southeast, Fay-aux-Loges in the south, Traînou in the west and Loury in the northwest.
