Saint-Pryvé-Saint-Mesmin is located on the Loire , in the south the Loiret river borders the municipality. The neighboring municipalities are: La Chapelle-Saint-Mesmin and Saint-Jean-de-la-Ruelle in the north, Orléans in the northeast, Saint-Jean-le-Blanc in the east, Olivet in the south and southeast, Saint-Hilaire-Saint-Mesmin in the south, Mareau-aux-Pres in the southwest and Chaingy in the west.
The A71 autoroute runs through the municipality .
history
In 1805, the towns of Saint-Mesmin and Saint-Pryvé were merged after a decision by Napoleon.
