Mareau-aux-Prés is a French commune with 1,351 inhabitants (as of January 1 2017) in the department of Loiret in the region Center-Val de Loire . It belongs to the Arrondissement Orléans and the Canton of Beaugency (until 2015: Canton of Cléry-Saint-André ). The inhabitants are called Mareprésiens .

Mareau-aux-Prés is about ten kilometers southwest of Orléans on the Loire . Mareau-aux-Prés is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Chaingy in the north, Saint-Pryvé-Saint-Mesmin in the northeast, Saint-Hilaire-Saint-Mesmin in the east, Mézières-lez-Cléry and Cléry-Saint-André in the south, Dry in the Southwest, Meung-sur-Loire to the west and Saint-Ay to the west and northwest.
