Dampierre-en-Burly is a French commune with 1,508 inhabitants (as of January 1 2017) in the department of Loiret in the region Center-Val de Loire . The municipality belongs to the Arrondissement Orléans and is part of the canton of Sully-sur-Loire (until 2015: canton of Ouzouer-sur-Loire ). The inhabitants are called Dampierrois .
geography
Dampierre-en-Burly is about 48 kilometers east-southeast of Orléans . To the east is the Orléans Forest. Dampierre-en-Burly is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Montereau in the north, Le Moulinet-sur-Solin in the north and north-east, Les Choux in the north-east, Nevoy in the east and south-east, Saint-Gondon in the south, Lion-en-Sullias in the south-west as well Ouzouer-sur-Loire to the west.
The former route nationale 152 (today's D952) runs through the municipality . The Dampierre nuclear power plant is located in the municipality .
