Saint-Lyé-la-Forêt is a French commune with 1,170 inhabitants (as of January 1 2017) in the department of Loiret in the region Center-Val de Loire . It belongs to the Arrondissement Orléans , is part of the canton Pithiviers (until 2015: canton Neuville-aux-Bois ) and the community association La Forêt . The inhabitants are called Laétiens .

geography

Saint-Lyé-la-Forêt is 16 kilometers north-northeast of Orléans . The Forêt d'Orléans , an approximately 150,000 hectare forest area, spreads south of the village . Saint-Lyé-la-Forêt is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Trinay in the north, Villereau in the northeast, Bougy-lez-Neuville in the east, Rebréchien in the southeast, Chanteau in the south, Chevilly in the west and Bucy-le-Roi in the northwest.
