Rouvray-Sainte-Croix is a French municipality with 142 inhabitants (as of January 1 2017) in the department of Loiret in the region Center-Val de Loire ; it belongs to the Arrondissement Orléans and the canton Meung-sur-Loire (until 2015: canton Patay ).

Rouvray-Sainte-Croix is located about 24 kilometers north-northwest of Orléans in the Beauce . Rouvray-Sainte-Croix is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Terminiers in the north, Sougy in the east, Coinces in the south and Patay in the west.
history
Possibly the so-called battle of the herring took place on the northern edge of the municipality in 1429 between English and the allied French and Scottish troops. The argument ended in an English victory.
