Bricy (formerly bricy la Boulay ) is a French municipality with 554 inhabitants (as of January 1 2017) in the department of Loiret in the region Center-Val de Loire . It belongs to the Arrondissement Orléans and the canton Meung-sur-Loire (until 2015: canton Patay ).

geography

Bricy is about 14 kilometers northwest of Orléans . Bricy is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Sougy in the north, Huêtre in the east and northeast, Gidy in the east and southeast, Boulay-les-Barres in the south and Coinces in the west and northwest.

The Orléans-Bricy military airfield ( Base aérienne 123 ) is located in the western and southwestern municipal area .
