Montigny is a commune of 246 inhabitants (as of January 1 2017) in the Loiret in the region Center-Val de Loire . It belongs to the Arrondissement Orléans (until 2017: Arrondissement Pithiviers ) and the Canton of Pithiviers (until 2015: Canton Outarville ). The inhabitants are called Montignois .

Montigny is located about 27 kilometers northeast of Orléans . Montigny is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Attray in the north, west and east, Santeau in the south-east and Chilleurs-aux-Bois in the south.
The A 19 car route runs along the southern municipal boundary.
